Performance problem with ReplaceText

Jan 28, 2013 at 1:32 PM
I hit a real performance problem with ReplaceText. What I want to do is to create something like MailMerge with DocX. That means replacing some Tags like {Lastname} {Firstname} in the text with data. This works pretty well until there is a lot of text in the document. Then it gets really slow.

The format with all those tags in the text makes it hard to use simple replace functions. Maybe I am on the wrong track. Has anyone done something similiar and can give some directions what may work better?

Thanks a lot!

Sounds like you should be using custom properties. Check my blog for an example.

I somehow managed to miss the examples.... sorry.

The invoice example is what I need!

Thanks!
