FileNotFoundException: missing assembly

Oct 8, 2013 at 8:54 AM
Hello guys,

I've came across such issue:

When attempting to use DocX.Load method in Metro appliation I got such exception "FileNotFoundException: can't load file or assembly "WindowsBase, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35".

DocX library has been added to the Metro project as NuGet package.

Any ideas ?

Thanks.

Yes. Try getting newest DocX source code and compile it. Don't think NuGet has been updated.

Thanks, MadBoy!

Now I have the following - I got the latest source code and tried to compile it. It's okay. But when I try to add compiled assembly I get message that assembly was built for .NetFramework and I can't use it under .NetCore.

I just can't get how did you build DocX assembly in .NetFramework 3.5 and at the same time this library could be added to Metro app as a reference ?

Metro app consumes only .NetCore libraries but not .NetFramework :)
What's the trick ?

Thanks.

Actually we have never done this. You need to convert it to .NetCore yourself

Funny :)

Still can't get the point how it works but thanks anyway.
